St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church to celebrate Holy Week

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 223 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton, has announced its Holy Week schedule.

The Eucharistic Service Sunday will begin with palms and procession through the church.

April 18 will be the Maundy Thursday service. This commemorates the Last Supper. In this service, attendees will take part in both the washing of the feet and communion.

A Good Friday service will be April 19. Through fasting and quiet prayer, the passion and death of Jesus Christ are remembered in reverence.

April 21 is Easter Sunday, the most Holy of feast day and a celebration of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Followed by enhanced coffee hour and Easter Egg hunt for the children.
