I went to the Capitol Theatre II last week and was truly pleased with the turnout on that particular evening. The reason I was pleased was the theater was full enough the balcony was opened. It was good to see this many people in attendance. I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be great if it could be filled each weekend like this.
By attending the local theater, you are helping a local business. A business I believe would be a shame to lose. I am not saying it is in trouble, but it will be closed for several weeks due to the remodeling of the Hotel Maytag that is currently underway. Not only will the business be lost, but I am sure there will be substantial cost do the remodeling. Hopefully, most of that cost will be taken on by the developer.
My point of this is this community needs the theater. It would be a huge loss. We all need to have a place to go and enjoy a good movie without having to drive several miles to see one.
I would encourage everyone to patronize the theater and fill it like it was last week.
